Class Descriptions
Ballet/Jazz Combo: (4-5 year olds) Students will learn gross motor dance skills, rhythm, basic classical ballet and basic jazz techniques. Students will learn skill combinations as well as routines in both disciplines. This fun and fast paced class gives your child exposure to two dance disciplines at once!
Ballet/Gymnastics Combo: (4-5 year olds) This class is an excellent opportunity for students to experience both classical ballet and artistic gymnastics. The first half of the class will focus on classical ballet techniques, skills, and combinations. The second half of the class will take place in the main gym. Students will be exposed to skills on vault, bars, beam, floor/tumbling, and trampoline.
Jazz/Gymnastics Combo: (4-5 year olds) Students have the opportunity to experience and grow within jazz dance and artistic gymnastics (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor/Tumbling, and Trampoline). Jazz dance is fast paced and fun. The class is 5 minutes of stretch/warm up, 20 minutes of jazz and 20 minutes of gymnastics in the main gym.
Ballet 1: (5-7 and 8+ year olds) Ballet 1 is a class designed for beginner ballet students wishing to learn basic classical and contemporary ballet skills, terminology, application, technique and skill combinations.
Ballet 2: (5-7 and 8+ year olds) Ballet 2 is a class designed for intermediate ballet students already familiar with basic ballet terminology, application and technique. Students will work on intermediate level classical and contemporary ballet skills and combinations while maintaining the foundation of their previous training.
Jazz 1: (5-7 and 8+) Jazz 1 is a class designed for the beginning jazz student wishing to learn basic jazz steps and techniques. Students will learn to adopt the classic forms of jazz techniques while nurturing his or her self expression in dance.
